India-linked BLA claims responsibility for PSX terror attack
- Attack on the Chinese consulate in 2018 was also claimed by BLA.
The attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) building on Monday has been claimed by Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a terror organization that has previously been linked to India and some elements in Afghanistan.
Claiming responsibility, BLA issued the list of the terrorists involved in today's attack.
Members included, Tasleem Baloch, Shehzad Baloch, Salman Hammal and Siraj Kungur. It is notable that the organization BLA has found safe haven in Afghanistan and many of its top leadership has received medical treatment, weapons and training from India. Pakistan has long accused India of fomenting trouble in Pakistan through BLA. Indian newspaper The Hindu had reported that it is established that BLA commanders had received treatment in Indian medical facilities.
"In one such case, a militant commander in charge of Khuzdar city was based in Delhi for at least six months in 2017 when he underwent extensive treatment for kidney-related ailments. Pakistan has blamed India for supporting the Baloch rebels," The Hindu had reported.
Senior BLA leader Aslam Baloch has also visited india, according to reports. India has also offered citizenship to key leaders of Balochistan-based terror groups.
Indian spy agent Kulbhushan Yadav captured by Pakistan, had also previously admitted that that he was tasked by RAW to plan, coordinate and organize espionage activities aiming to wage war against Pakistan by impeding the efforts of Law Enforcement Agencies for restoring peace in Balochistan and Karachi. BLA has never denied its links with Indian government and military establishment.
In his confession, he said, "I realise during this process that RAW is involved in some activities related to the Baloch liberation movement within Pakistan and the region around it."
On Monday morning, four terrorists tried to storm into the PSX building and threw grenades at the compound's entrance. The terrorists then opened fire and attempted to enter the compound but were killed by security forces.
