It is indeed a great honour and pleasure for me to formally inaugurate the operations of Pakistan Customs indigenously developed computerized customs clearance system known as Web Based One Customs (WeBOC). The development of WeBOC has saved a hefty amount of foreign exchange of the country.
FBR highly appreciates the efforts of WeBOC developers, Managers and the Project Team for helping the nation, trade and industry at a very critical time. Besides, this system is expected to be a foundation for National One Window Corridor by forming a fully automated hub for trade, transport and national regulatory bodies. It is expected to facilitate the trade and industry through speedy clearances of import and export cargo. The success of the system would also contribute meaningfully towards the customs' goal of balancing customs enforcement vis-à-vis trade facilitation. It is sincerely hoped that WeBOC clearance system shall be an engine of economic growth by promoting international trade and generating much need tax revenue.
