LETTER: Country's power system appears to be strongly characterised by comedy of errors. Consider what happened on Friday: the power Distribution Companies' (Discos') obsolete systems, according to a Business Recorder report, have almost collapsed across the country due to which out of allocated quota of 23,940MW, over 4,500MW remained unutilized.

This is not acceptable. People are suffering because of increased load-shedding while there exists 'adequate' power supply. Transmission inadequacies are not their fault. They're in fact making payments even against inflated bills.

Is there anybody listening?

Is there anybody that sees what's going on?
