PM inaugurates production facility of ventilators in Haripur
- Imran says Pakistan has abundant talent to take the country to self-reliance in new technological innovation
(Karachi) Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the production facility of first ever indigenously developed ventilators at National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation at Haripur on Monday.
Speaking to officials, he said that Pakistan has abundant talent to take the country to self-reliance in new technological innovation and PTI-government will strongly support any initiative to harness the potential of the youth.

He appreciated the initiative taken by NRTC and the Ministry of Science and Technology for the first ever indigenously produced ventilator. He said it is a landmark achievement for Pakistan and congratulated the entire team.
"Our approach in response to coronavirus pandemic and adopting smart lockdown while keeping the economy afloat has been widely acknowledged," the PM maintained.
"Our focus will now remain on improving health sectors," he said.
Recently, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry announced that the first batch of ten ventilators have been developed by NRTC. He said these ventilators will be handed over to the National Disaster Management Authority.
NRTC is indigenously providing services including communication equipment, E-policing, Electro-Medical equipment, hardware and software.
