LAHORE: A citizen has approached the Lahore High Court with prayer to ban a famous mobile phone video application, TikTok immediately. The petitioner through his counsel Nadeem Sarwar contended that the matter was of great importance but the hearing of the main petition against the TikTok had not been fixed so far.

He said more than ten deaths had been reported in the country in incidents relating to the users of the applications. Moreover, he said, the video sharing application had become a source of spreading nudity and pornography for the sake of fame and ratings of social media. He argued that the video application in question was a great mischief of modern times.
