ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet would be held Wednesday (July 15) to consider and approve various proposals moved by ministries, including the Finance Division's proposal seeking approval for SAR 22.5 million equity investment abroad by Eastern Products Private Limited Pakistan (EPPLP).
The meeting to be presided over by Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh would take up the Petroleum Division's proposal with respect to supply of gas to localities/villages in 5-km radius of the Petroleum Gas Producing Fields.
The Ministry of Information and Telecommunication (MoIT) report of the Committee constituted by the ECC on Litigation between MoIT and proprietary software manufacturer, LMKR would also be presented to the ECC.
Ministry of Information and Telecommunication's proposal for policy directive for provision of satellite services in Pakistan would also be considered by the ECC.
The ECC meeting would also take up Ministry of Maritime Affairs' proposals for construction of Remain Sewerage System in North West Industrial Zone (NWIZ) and South West Industrial Zone (SWIZ) at Port Qasim Karachi (Package-I); construction of Remaining Water Supply Network in North West Industrial Zone and South West Industrial Zone (SWIZ) at Port Qasim, Karachi (Package-II); construction of remaining road and storm water drains 111 North West Industrial Zone and South West Industrial Zone (SWIZ) at Port Qasim, Karachi (Package-III) as well as construction of pump houses, underground water tanks, overhead water tanks and auxiliary work in Eastern Industrial ZOI1C at Port Qasim.
The ECC would also take up summary of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs with regards to appointment of engineering consultancy services firm for planning, designing/review of existing design, preparation of tender documents and construction supervision for combined effluent treatment plant in North West Industrial Zone and up-gradating/enhancement of existing sewerage treatment plant already established in edible and molasses area including its construction supervision at Port Qasim, Karachi.
