ISLAMABAD: The number of Covid-19 cases in Pakistan has reached 265,636, with 5,626 deaths and 205,929 recoveries, authorities reported here on Monday.
Punjab's coronavirus case tally has now reached 90,191 with emergence of 398 more cases, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab.
The province has confirmed four more deaths due to Covid-19, which is the lowest daily death toll since May 13, when Punjab reported three deaths.
The PDMA Punjab said that some 65,689 people have recovered from the virus in the province.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that 546 Covid-19 cases and 26 deaths were reported in the province during the past 24 hours, taking the provincial death toll past 2,000.
In a statement, he said 7,069 tests were carried out during this period.
With the new cases, the provincial total has risen to 113,553, while the death toll is 2,019. He added that 897 patients had also recovered during the last 24 hours, taking the total to 92,934.
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Health Department has reported 196 new cases taking the provincial total to 32,086.
The province has also reported three more deaths due to Covid-19, which has taken the KP's Covid-19 death toll to 1,142. According to KP Health Department during the past 24 hours, 418 more coronavirus patients have recovered taking the tally to 25,006, and at present 5,938 cases are active across the province.
Balochistan has reported 12 Covid-19 cases and one death during the past 24 hours, according to the provincial health department's daily situation report.
