Pakistan reports lowest number of coronavirus deaths in 3 months

Pakistan reported its lowest number of coronavirus deaths in the past three months on Sunday after 20 people died from the infection.
In a tweet on Monday, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan (SAPM) on Health Dr Zafar Mirza said that the country had a peak of 153 deaths on June 20 but now in the last 24 hours Pakistan reported just 20 fatalities.
"This is 87% reduction in COVID-19 related deaths. Yet no place for any complacency!" the SAPM said. Pakistan's death toll has reached 5,842.
The country also reported 1,176 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 274,289. The country conducted 22,056 corona tests during this period.
118,311 cases have been reported in Sindh, 92,073 in Punjab, 33,397 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 11,601 in Balochistan.
Meanwhile, 14,884 infections have been reported so far in Islamabad, 1,989 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 2,034 in Azad Kashmir.
241,026 patients have so far recovered from the disease.
