Partly Facetious: There're three holidays

ARTICLE: "So what's up?"

"Same-o, same-o."

"There you are so wrong....its the fourth Eid since The Khan took over the reins of government and this time around only one holiday has been announced."

"Are you out of your mind - there are three holidays 31 July, I and 2 August."

"Yes but 1 August is Saturday and 2 Sunday which are holidays in any event so do you reckon The Khan has finally acknowledged that all is not well in the state of Denmark."

"I take exception to that my friend, strong exception - Denmark is no Muslim country while here we are trying to implement a system of government..."

"Yeah but it was just an expression, see when you talk of not all being right the English expression is something is rotten in the state of Denmark and in Urdu you say.....you say..."

"Ah there are so many ways of saying that - look at the statements and twitter accounts of the special assistants!"

"What of the advisors?"

"See there is a problem there - the five advisers are not as vocal as the special assistants in defending The Khan, yes they do frequently engage in apple polishing if you will but not as frequently as the special assistants and...and...their attack on the leadership of the other two national parties is not as..."

"Frequent?"

"Yes and more importantly not as emotionally charged as say Murad Saeed and...."

"So what do you suggest?"

"Off with their heads - I mean The Khan has bestowed a singular honour on them and they dare..."

"I heard some of them say they are doing a favour to The Khan and the country by serving...."

"I don't think they have sold anyone on that! And the proof of the pudding is that when ever this point is raised in a meeting they hold a press conference denigrating the previous governments in which they also served and...."

"That's true but you know going back to the holidays they are three in a row so I guess The Khan can go to Nathiagali."

"Hmmm and that would be OK as far as the special assistants are concerned - I mean they can denigrate four or five Zardis cutting Zardari sahib's birthday cake where the birthday boy is missing as are his children but its OK for The Khan to be up in the hills enjoying the cool weather while several areas of the country have been subjected to load shedding."

"That is politics in this country."
