Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz indicted in Ramzan Sugar Mills case
- Accountability court will hear case on August 27.
An accountability court Lahore indicted on Thursday Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case.
Judge Amjad Nazir Chaudhry presided over the hearing in which the Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly also appeared. The court will take up court proceedings on August 27 and record testimonies of witnesses.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has accused Shehbaz of approving construction of a drain in Chiniot at a cost of Rs360 million only to benefit Ramzan sugar mills owned by his sons Hamza and Suleman.
Last year in April, the duo was indicted in the main reference in which they had pleaded not guilty before the court.
NAB also arrested Hamza in the case and who is currently on judicial custody in another case of money laundering against him.
