LAHORE: As many as 192 have been found positive out of 7,022 tests conducted during the last 24 hours in Punjab, taking the tally of Covid-19 patients to 94,040. With two more fatalities, the total number of deaths on account of Covid-19 has reached to 2164 in the province.

As per the data made available to Business Recorder, so far 761,581 tests were conducted across the province. Out of total 94,040 positive cases, 89.089 have been recovered while 853 were recovered during the last 24 hours.

Out of total 94,040 positive cases in Punjab, the people in the age group of 31-45 years are worst affected with total number of 27,214 cases followed by the age group between 16-30 years with figure of 25,064.

Likewise, about 18,686 people in the age group of 46-60 were tested positive of the virus followed by the age group between 61-75 years with 9149 figure. Up to 1,638 in age group of above 75 were tested positive of the virus as against 4169 from age group between 1 to 15 years. Health professionals opined that decline in Covid-19 cases is due to improved immunity, smart lockdown policy and weather condition.
