KARACHI: On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,980. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 9.722 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,224.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 5.803 billion, followed by silver PKR 1.420 billion, DJ PKR 820.283 million, copper PKR 734.416 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 346.737 million, currencies through COTS PKR 242.150 million, natural gas PKR 133.808 million, platinum PKR 121.812 million, crude oil PKR 87.381 million and SP500 PKR 11.867 million.
