Sindh health minister does not want schools to reopen from September

Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho has opposed the decision of reopening primary schools amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In a video message, she said that reopening schools for junior classes could lead to another wave of the virus in the country. She further said that these children cannot be prevented from socialising nor can it be ensured that they follow standard operating procedures.
She said until the virus is contained, schools should not reopen and students must be taught online, local media reported.
On Monday, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani took notice of some private school reopening in Karachi. He said strict action will be taken against the schools. he directed authorities to suspend the registrations of the schools.
Last month, the federal government announced that education institutions will be reopened across the country from September 15.
