KARACHI: On Wednesday, Pakistan Rupee lost value against USD in interbank market while remaining unchanged in open market. It also displayed loss in value against Euro in open market while remaining unchanged against Saudi Riyal.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee lost 15 paisas for buying and 10 paisas for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 168.25 and 168.35 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 168.20 and 168.50 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR lost 50 paisas for buying while remaining unchanged for selling over yesterday's rates closing at 199.50 and 200.50 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR remained unchanged for buying while losing 5 paisas for selling closing at 45.60 and 45.85 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR remained unchanged closing at 44.45 and 44.60 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee witnessed volatile trend in the process of trading against the American dollar in the open currency market on Wednesday.
Following fluctuating demand and supply situation in the market, the dollar could not stabilise its strength throughout the trading session and ended for buying and selling at Rs 168.00 and Rs 169.20 against the overnight closing rate of Rs 168.10 and Rs 169.30 respectively, local currency dealers said.
On the other hand, the national currency continued downward slide for the third consecutive day and sharply declined its worth. Consequently, the pound's buying and selling rates further rose from Tuesday's closing of Rs 219.50 and Rs 221.00 to Rs 221.00 and Rs 222.70 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar gained 20 paisas against the rupee at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Wednesday.
The dollar opened at Rs168.80 (buying) and Rs 168.90(selling) against last rate of Rs168.60 (buying) and Rs 168.70(selling).
It closed at Rs168.80 (buying) and Rs 168.90(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs126,700 (selling) and Rs126,500(buying) in the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
