KARACHI: Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue, inaugurated the Baab-e- Muhammad at Naya Nazimabad Jamia Masjid.
The Masjid which is built on 175,000 square feet will welcome 12,000 worshippers at a time, at completion. There will be a separate space for 2,500 women to pray and special arrangements have also been made for people with different abilities to access and use the Masjid.
Speaking at the occasion Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh said, "I am pleased to see such an environment at a beautifully developed real estate. More of such communities should be developed and we hope that builders and developer will benefit from the government's recently announced incentives and introduce similar developments in the market."
Naya Nazimabad is an integrated housing scheme which focuses on healthy community living. It is the largest master-planned, gated residential development in Karachi and will house more than 30,000 families at its completion.
