LETTER: It is heartening to note that federal and Sindh governments have constituted a six-member team to work out a strategy aimed at resolving myriad issues of Karachi.
Water, electricity and public transport are some of the major issues. The resolution of these issues essentially lies in political will. It is therefore a highly praiseworthy step on the part of political parties that seem to have set aside their difference for the common good.
That Karachi is the heart of Pakistan and deserves special attention is a fact. The neglect of country's economic and financial hub has already adversely affected the lives and livelihoods of the teeming millions of this city. The consensus our political parties have forged for Karachi must be protected and preserved.
Rehan Azhar (Karachi)
