LAHORE: Two alleged armed robbers were killed during a "shootout" with police that lasted for almost 30 minutes in Faisal Town locality late on Saturday night. Police said they had received information that some heavily armed men trying to enter the house of a money exchange dealer in Faisal Town's C Block area late on Saturday night. Meanwhile, a police team reached the spot and encircled the suspects.
Model Town Superintendent of Police (Operations) Dost Muhammad while speaking to the media said the robbers took shelter in a nearby house when they came to known about the presence of police. He said the robbers started firing on the law enforcers when they warned them of serious repercussions in case they did not surrender.
