KARACHI: On Tuesday, Pakistan Rupee lost value against USD in interbank market for buying while remaining unchanged for selling. It also remained unchanged in open market against both USD and Euro while gaining value against AED and SR.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee lost 10 paisas for buying while remaining unchanged for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 168.30 and 168.40 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 168.50 and 168.80 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling over yesterday's rates closing at 198.50 and 200 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR gained 5 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 45.60 and 45.80 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR gained 10 paisas for buying and 25 paisas for selling closing at 44.50 and 44.65 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee-greenback parity stayed unchanged amid sluggish trading activity in the local currency market on Tuesday.
Following sluggish trading activity in the market, the greenback did not witness any change in its demand and supply situation and firmly closed at its opening trend for buying and selling at Rs 168.30 and Rs 169.50 respectively, local currency dealers said.
Furthermore, the local currency observed volatile trend for the second consecutive day against the pound sterling. Consequently, the pound was bought and sold at Rs 219.50 and Rs 221.00 against the overnight closing rate of Rs 219.00 and Rs 220.70 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee recovered 20 paisas against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Tuesday.
The dollar opened at Rs168.80 (buying) and Rs 168.90(selling) against last rate of Rs169(buying) and Rs 169.10(selling).
It closed at Rs168.80 (buying) and Rs 168.90(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 123,000(selling) and Rs122,900(buying) in the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
