KARACHI: The Met Office on Wednesday said the monsoon system of a moderate intensity continues to penetrate into Sindh.

Under the influence of this system, rain/thunderstorms with an isolated moderate to heavy falls are likely in all districts of Sindh till Thursday (today), it said.

In Karachi, it said, there are chances of isolated moderate to the heavy falls in parts of the city in the next 24 hours. Cloudy weather may range temperature up 31 degrees Celsius and a maximum 80 percent humidity on Thursday.

In the next 24 hours, rain wind-thunderstorm is expected in most districts of Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.

Sindh and eastern Balochistan are likely to receive isolated falls while there are chances of heavy falls in upper Punjab and Kashmir.

In the past 24 hours, major parts of the country received rain. Maximum amount of rainfall was recorded in Dadu 142 mm, Karachi (Faisal Base 134, Gulshan-e-Hadeed 122, Nazimabad 91, Saddar 88, Landhi 85, M.O.S (Old Area A/P) 81, University Road 79, Saadi Town 72, Masroor Base 68,

Jinnah Terminal 67, North Karachi 50, Surjani 46, Kemari 24).

Padidan 110, Thatta 89, Mohenjo-Daro 82, Larkana 66, Mirpurkhas 54, Shaheed Benazirabad 49, Jaccobabad 23, Chhor 17, Mithi 13, Rohri 12.

Malam Jabba 108, Balakot 103, Takht Bhai 45, Cherat 38, Buner 23, Pattan 20, Dir 12, Kalam 11, Peshawar 10.
