Four more deaths in 24 hours: Tally of fatalities from coronavirus increases to 6,298 countrywide
ISLAMABAD: The countrywide tally of fatalities from coronavirus has increased to 6,298, as four more deaths were reported during the last 24 hours by the deadly virus. The number of positive cases has reached 296,149, according to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
The data further revealed that 300 persons had been tested positive for the Covid-19 in 24 hours, whereas 20,882 tests were conducted nationwide. Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by the Punjab, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad.
Till now 129,469 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 96,832 in Punjab, 36,118 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 15,649 in Islamabad, 12,879 in Balochistan, 2,299 in Azad Kashmir, and 2,903 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore, 2,403 individuals have lost their lives to the pandemic in Sindh, 2,199 in Punjab, 1,250 in the KP, 141 in Balochistan, 175 in Islamabad, 67 in the GB, and 63 in Azad Kashmir. Pakistan has so far conducted 2,642,068 coronavirus tests, and 20,882 in the last 24 hours. At least 280,970 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country, whereas 589 patients are in critical condition.
