KARACHI: On Friday, Pakistan Rupee gained value against USD in both interbank and open markets while losing value against Euro in open market. This strengthening against the dollar may have been due to stall in dollar's rally on Friday in global market as investor focus turned to US jobs data (https://www.brecorder.com/news/40016465/gold-gains-as-dollar-stalls-with-focus-on-us-data).
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee gained 25 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 165.75 and 165.85 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR gained 20 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 166 and 166.30 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR lost 50 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 196 and 197.50 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR gained 5 paisas for buying and remained unchanged for selling closing at 45 and 45.30 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR lost 5 paisas for buying and 10 paisas for selling closing at 43.90 and 44.10 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee depreciated its worth in the process of trading against the American dollar in the local currency market on Friday.
Following fresh buyers' interest in the market, the dollar opened on a healthy note and ended higher for buying and selling at Rs 166.20 and Rs 167.40 against the overnight closing rate of Rs 166.10 and Rs 167.20 respectively, local currency dealers said.
On the other hand, the rupee-pound sterling parity stayed unchanged amid sluggish trading activity in the market. As a result, the pound firmly closed at its opening trend for buying and selling at Rs 219.50 and Rs 221.00 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar gained 10 paisas against the rupee at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Friday.
The dollar opened at Rs 167.10 (buying) and Rs 167.20 (selling) against last rate of Rs167 (buying) and Rs 167.10 (selling).
It closed at Rs167.10 (buying) and Rs 167.20 (selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 120,200 (selling) and Rs120,000 (buying) in the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
