KARACHI: Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours, the Met Office said on Saturday.
However, rain-thundershowers are expected at few places of Eastern Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas. In the past 24 hours: dry weather remained in most the country.
However rain fell in Punjab, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Maximum amount of rainfall was recorded in Chaklala 33mm, Malmajaba 25mm and Bahawalnagar 16mm.
The highest temperature was witnessed in Turbat 40 degrees Celsius, and Dalbandin 39 degrees Celsius.
"Monsoon currents are penetrating eastern parts of the country. A westerly wave is also present over northwestern parts of the country," the Met said.
