The University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Peshawar in collaboration with Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Foundation organised free coaching classes for the preparation of entry test for admission to Engineering universities/institutes.
The classes were especially conducted for pre-engineering students of the flood affected areas of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, particularly district Nowshera.
It was part of a series of capacity building and skill development trainings under the humanitarian assistance of IEEE Foundation for the students of flood affected areas. More than 50 applicants applied for the classes out of which 32 students were selected after thorough evaluation. These deserving potential students were placed in Peshawar Cambridge Degree College for free entry test preparatory/coaching classes.
A conclusion ceremony was held on July 10, at Peshawar Cambridge Degree College, near Govt Degree College, Peshawar.
The IEEE Chairman KP Chapter, Professor Dr Azzam-ul-Asr congratulated participants for their successful attempt of the entry test for qualifying for admissions in leading Engineering universities/ institutes. Muhammad Zafar as course co-ordinator, while Director CEEC, Engr. Asif Ali Shah, assured to continue UET's co-operation for humanitarian assistance of people through international agencies.
