KARACHI: On Monday, Pakistan Rupee exhibited behaviour. It lost value against USD in inter-bank market while gaining value against USD and remaining unchanged against Euro in open market over last Friday's rates.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the inter-bank market, Pakistan Rupee lost 5 paisas for buying and 10 paisas for selling against USD over last Friday's rates closing at 165.80 and 165.95 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR gained 20 paisas for buying and 10 paisas for selling against USD over last Friday's rates closing at 165.80 and 166.20 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling closing at 196 and 197.50 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR lost 5 paisas for buying and gained 5 paisas for selling closing at 45.05 and 45.25 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR gained 5 paisas for buying and 10 paisas for selling reversing last Friday's losses closing at 43.85 and 44 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee appreciated its worth in the process of trading against the greenback and the British pound in the local currency market on Monday.
Following lack of buyers' interest in the market, the greenback remained under selling pressure throughout the trading session and ended lower for buying and selling at Rs 166.00 and Rs 166.70 against Friday's closing trend of Rs 166.20 and Rs 167.40 respectively, local currency dealers said.
Similarly, the national currency also followed suit in relation to the pound sterling that was bought and sold at Rs 217.50 and Rs 219.00 against the previous closing rate of Rs 219.50 and Rs 221.00 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee recovered 20 paisas against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi Monday.
The dollar opened at Rs167 (buying) and Rs 167.10 (selling) against last rate of Rs167.20 (buying) and Rs 167.30(selling).
It closed at Rs167 (buying) and Rs 167.10(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold stood at Rs. 119,800 (selling) and Rs119,500 (buying) in the local Sarrafa (gold) markets of the twin cities.
