ISLAMABAD: The family members of missing official of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on Tuesday staged a protest outside the prime minister's secretariat. The family members including wife and children as well as other relatives of SECP joint director demanded immediate recovery of Gondal, who has been missing since Thursday evening.
They were holding placards inscribed with slogans "Where is Sajid Gondal" and, "No more missing, bring back Gondal". Gondal's wife Sajeela Sajjid said neither the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad nor any other constitutional institution has contacted them so far.
"Why my husband had been abducted and tell me what is his crime?" she asked. She appealed to the prime minister, the chief justice of Pakistan, and the chief of the army staff to recover her husband. Gondal's car was found outside the National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) on Park Road on Friday morning. Police have also registered a First Information Report (FIR) on the complaint of Gondals's wife.
