Huawei to train hundreds of Pakistan’s govt officials
- The Prime Minister said that there are vast opportunities for investment in Pakistan in the field of technology.
Chinese tech giant Huawei has assured Prime Minister Imran Khan that the company is keen to invest in Pakistan’s Information Technology sector.
The development came during the meeting of Prime Minister Imran Khan with Huawei officials. Federal Minister for Information Technology Aminul Haq was present at the meeting between PM Imran Khan and President of Chinese technology company Huawei in the Middle East. The meeting was attended by key officials including Huawei Pakistan CEO Qing Meng.
Chinese officials informed the premier that Huawei will train 1,000 Pakistani government employees in the field of information technology. On the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan briefed the Huawei representative on the vision of Digital Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said that there are vast opportunities for investment in Pakistan in the field of technology. Through IT, transparency and better governance in government affairs can be achieved, he said.
