KARACHI: On Thursday, Pakistan Rupee largely remained unchanged against currencies typically covered in this section except in case of Euro against which it went down in open market.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee remained unchanged for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 166.35 and 166.50 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR gained 10 paisas for buying while remaining unchanged for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 166.40 and 166.70 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR lost 50 paisas for buying and one rupee for selling over yesterday's rates closing at 195.50 and 197 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling closing at 45.10 and 45.30 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling closing at 43.95 and 44.10 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee depreciated its worth on the buying side while it stayed unchanged on the selling side in relation to the greenback in the local currency market on Thursday.
According to currency dealers, the greenback gained 10 paisas for buying and closed at Rs 166.20 against the opening rate of Rs 166.10 whereas it did not witness any change for selling at Rs 167.20.
Moreover, the local currency failed to hold its day earlier recoveries as it depreciated its worth versus the pound sterling. Consequently, the pound's buying and selling rates rose from Wednesday's closing of Rs 214.50 and Rs 216.00 to Rs 215.50 and Rs 217.00 respectively, they added.
