That KE stands a chance of massive transformation is a fact. The other day, the Federal Minister for Privatisation Mohammedmian Soomro chaired a high-powered meeting to discuss matters relating to this utility. It shows that the federal government is keen to help KE improve its performance without any further loss of time.
The KE, however, is required to make investments in the improvement of its infrastructure that it had committed a long time ago. I'm sure the appointment of new chairman of KE board, Shan Ashary, will augur well for the future prospects of this utility, which is responsible for generating and distributing electricity. Brightening lives by building the capacity to deliver uninterrupted, safe and affordable power to Karachiites is KE's mission statement. It must act strictly in accordance with its statement.
