KARACHI: On Friday, Pakistan Rupee went up against USD in both interbank and open markets. It also went up against Euro and SR while remaining unchanged against AED in open market.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee gained 15 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 165.75 and 165.85 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR gained 20 paisas for buying and 10 paisas for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 165.80 and 166.20 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR went up by one rupee for buying and50 paisas for selling over yesterday's rates closing at 195.50 and 197 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling closing at 45.10 and 45.30 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR gained 10 paisas for buying and 5 paisas for selling closing at 43.90 and 44.10 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee stayed unchanged on the buying side while it depreciated its worth on the selling side in relation to the greenback in the local currency market on Friday.
According to currency dealers, the greenback did not witness any change throughout the trading session for buying which firmly closed at Rs 166.00 whereas it gained 10 paisas for selling and ended at Rs 167.00 against the opening rate of Rs 166.90.
On the other hand, the national currency failed to sustain as it declined its worth against the pound sterling. Consequently, the pound's buying and selling rates rose from Thursday's closing of Rs 214.00 and Rs 215.80 to Rs 214.50 and Rs 216.00 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee recovered 50 paisas against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Friday.
The dollar opened at Rs166.50 (buying) and Rs166.70(selling) against last rate of Rs167(buying) and Rs167.10(selling).
It closed at Rs166.50 (buying) and Rs166.70 (selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs121,600 (selling) and Rs121,300(buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
