LAHORE: As many as 27 dead bodies of drug addicts were found in different areas of Lahore during the month of August amid the coronavirus pandemic. Syed Zulfiqar Hussain, Consultant Anti Drugs/Narcotics Campaign and prevention expert told media here Friday that overdose and shortage of drugs and living in unhygienic condition are cause of deaths.
These bodies were found from the areas of Lal pul, Fatehgarh, Chauburji, Bhatti Gate, Data Darbar, Lakshami Chowk, Dharmpura, Garhi Shahu, Regal Chowk and others. According to him, a large number of homeless young people are using hard and soft drugs on footpaths, gardens and different roads in the city.
