LAHORE: Interior Minister Brig Ejaz Shah (retd) in a meeting with Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said here Saturday that the PTI government is ensuring transparent and indiscriminate accountability while for the first time; reforms are being introduced in public sector institutions.
"The public has given us a five-year mandate and we will complete our term," Ejaz Shah said while discussing various political and other issues with the Governor.
Ch Sarwar said on the occasion that the government will complete its constitutional term and after facing failure inside the parliament, the opposition will face failure outside the parliament as well.
He said the opposition who intended to halt the legislation regarding FATF has been exposed. "We are not facing any threat from opposition's APC and will continue to move forward on our mission to serve the public," he said, adding: "Completing a 5-year term is our democratic and constitutional right and the general elections will be held in 2023."
