PESHAWAR: A delegation of the local business community headed by the former president, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Haji Ghulam Ali called on Afghan Consul General, Najibullah Ahmadzai and discussed with him Pak-Afghan trade expo scheduled in December this year. The meeting expressed happiness over abolition of the hardships of business community at Torkham, Angoor Adda and Kharlachi border stations and increase in trade relations and goods carrying trucks between both countries.
The delegation was comprised of Coordinator FPCCI for KP, Sartaj Ahmad Khan, former vice president FPCCI, Mohammad Adnan Jalil and Secretary General FPCCI Regional Office, Mian Mohammad Wisal. The participants of the meeting also paid tributes to both the government of Pakistan and business community over steps taken for mitigation of the problems at border stations.
The delegation while appreciating the efforts of Afghan Consul General, Najibullah Ahmadzai said that joint efforts will further improve economic activities. The members of the delegation said that Afghan border would also be opened for trade soon that would further enhance bilateral trade between both countries. The delegation also discussed joint trade expo of the business community of countries scheduled during December this year and welcomed the step.
