KARACHI: On Monday, upon market closing, Pakistan Rupee went down against USD in both interbank and open markets. It however went up against Euro in open market. INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee lost 55 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over last Friday's rates closing at 166.30 and 166.40 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR lost 30 paisas for buying and 20 paisas for selling over last Friday's rates closing at 166.10 and 166.40 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR gained 50 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 195 and 196.50 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR lost 5 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 45.15 and 45.35 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR lost 10 paisas for buying and 5 paisas for selling reversing last Friday's gains closing at 44 and 44.15 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee stayed unchanged on the buying side while it appreciated its worth on the selling side in relation to the greenback in the local currency market on Monday.
According to currency dealers, the greenback did not witness any change throughout the trading session for buying which firmly closed at Rs 166.00 whereas it lost 10 paisas for selling and ended at Rs 166.90 against the opening rate of Rs 167.00.
On the contrary, the rupee showed strength as it recovered its earlier losses versus the pound sterling. As a result, the pound's buying and selling rates declined from Friday's closing of Rs 214.50 and Rs 216.00 to Rs 211.50 and Rs 213.50 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar gained 10 paisas against the rupee at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Monday.
The dollar opened at Rs 166.10 (buying) and Rs 166.20(selling) against last rate of Rs 166 (buying) and Rs 166.10 (selling).
It closed at Rs 166.10 (buying) and Rs 166.20 (selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs121,600(selling) and Rs121,300(buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi
