TEXT: I am delighted that the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry is organizing its 8th FPCCI Achievement Awards ceremony in recognition of the services of Pakistani Businessmen.

The FPCCI Achievement awards have earned a recognition in all circles, which is indeed a matter of pride for award winners. The Awards promote healthy competition among businesspersons and individuals and encourage them to strive harder to push the boundaries of excellence. The Awards also provide a good opportunity for business community of Pakistan to analyze new and emerging trends on the local and international markets, and devise innovative strategies for the promotion of their business to which the Government accords a high priority.

I must emphasize here the need for joint efforts by both the Government and the private sector to diversity our products and markets while, at the same time, consolidating our foothold in existing markets. In this regard, the Government has provided various incentives to the business community and would continue to do so in future as well, to realize the dream of “Make in Pakistan” and ensure export led growth.

On this occasion, allow me to congratulate Mian Anjum Nisar, President, office bearers and all Executive Committee of FPCCI on their devotion and sincere efforts to promote the country. I also felicitate all Award Winners on their performance and hope that the business community will continue its efforts for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
