8th FPCCI ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS: Message from Muhammad Hammad Azhar, (Federal Minister of Industries & Production)
TEXT: I am pleased to know that The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) is organizing its 8th Achievement Awards this year in order to honor the individuals and businessmen who have made outstanding contribution towards promotion of Pakistan during the year 2019. This is indeed a commendable practice which not only recognizes the achievements of Pakistani individuals and businessmen but also inculcates in them the desire to attain excellence in future and at the same time encourages them to continue with their efforts.
The present Government is working on a multi-pronged strategy to broaden the existing industrial base of Pakistan by producing superior quality products; which can make their mark in the international market. The aim is to diversify the product base markets through business research, improvement in business skills, versatile marketing plans and innovation in business practices. Modernization and up-gradation of industry is a process of building market through training, learning and consultation, therefore, the present Government is emphasizing the importance of research at the public as well as private level.
Revival of Pakistan’s economy hinges on the performance of its industrial sector. Industry in Pakistan has a great potential for expansion because of availability of raw material, skilled labor and sufficient indigenous investment in the country. We are pursuing comprehensive and integrated policies such as facilitation of small and medium enterprises, establishment of Special Economic Zones and Export Promotion Zone, enhancing technical education, creation of Industrial Parks etc., which will certainly help in expansion and modernization of industry in Pakistan.
I congratulate all 8th FPCCI Achievement Award winners on their excellent performance and look forward to their continued success in the future.
