Rupee recovers 26 paisas against dollar
- The State Bank of Pakistan reported that in interbank trading, the price of euro depreciated by 87 paisas and closed at Rs. 193.51 against the last day’s trading of Rs. 194.38.
ISLAMABAD: The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee strengthens by 26 paisas against US dollar in the interbank trading on Thursday and closed at Rs. 1.65.96 compared to the previous day's closing of 166.22.
However, according to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs. 166 and Rs. 166.5 respectively.
The State Bank of Pakistan reported that in interbank trading, the price of euro depreciated by 87 paisas and closed at Rs. 193.51 against the last day’s trading of Rs. 194.38.
The Japanese Yen lost one paisa to close at Rs. 1.57, whereas an increase of 14 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs. 211.19 as compared to its last closing of Rs. 211.05.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal also declined by 07 paisas to close at Rs. 45.18 and Rs. 44.24 respectively.
