Only 11 percent people watch movies in cinemas: survey

Gillani Research Foundations Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan on Thursday claimed that only 11 percent people watch movies in a cinema.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the country was asked: "Do you go to cinema to watch movies?" Responding to this 11 percent people claimed that they go to cinema to watch movies whereas 89 percent claimed that they do not go to the cinema at all, said a press release issued here on Thursday. In a following question the respondents who go to cinema were asked "when was the last time you went cinema?" Responding to this 43 percent claimed that it has been more than 5 months since they went cinema, 22 percent claimed it has been between 2-5 months, 17 percent claim a month ago whereas 17 percent claim they went to cinema last week. However, one percent did not give any view.
