ISLAMABAD: Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Atadjan Movlamov has said art and culture depicts are the real essence of a nation, and Pakistan is rich in cultural and fine art heritage due to its diversified social and cultural inheritance.

He expressed these views, while inaugurating a week-long Bexon Exhibition of renowned artist Qudsiya Liaquat and other artists.

Movlamov acknowledged professional skills and expression of a painter who had beautifully articulate concepts, ideas and emotions at screen, and explained the deep sentiments with high standard of professionalism.

He said art was being promoted, which was a good step.

The event was also attended by Group Leader and Former President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sohail Altaf and President Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rawalpindi Saboor Malik.

Chairman Handicraft Association of Pakistan Fahad Barlas led the chief guest and others to the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The event was organized by Handicrafts Association of Pakistan (HAP) at Aqs Art and Craft village on Thursday in collaboration with Naqashee Art Gallery.

President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Saboor Malik said that that the event was good omen after the Covid-19 as it was much needed after the coronavirus and lockdown.

The opening ceremony was attended by the guests of honor of the inaugural ceremony, while Ambassador of Malaysia Ikram Mohammad Ibrahim, Ambassador of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan H.E Maj Gen (R) Ibrahim Yala Al-Madani, Ambassador Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Alizada, Charge d' Affairs Republic of Maldives Ali Rilwan, Charge d' Affairs Republic of Indonesia Andi Ahmed Bastari and participated in the opening ceremony.

Chairman HAP stated that Qudsia Liaquat had narrated colors of life and ambiance of amazing natural beauty with paints and brush and attracts viewers by her thought provoking artwork.

Sohail Altaf described the paintings displayed in the exhibition a reflection of the feelings of artist and stated that visitors of exhibition would appreciate the quality art work and impressive graphic illustrations.

Giving her views, Qudsiya Liaquat expressed gratitude to all those who had participated in the inaugural ceremony and appreciated her work.
