KARACHI: On Friday, upon market closing, Pakistan Rupee went up against USD in inter-bank market. In open market, PKR went up against USD for buying while falling for selling. It however remained unchanged against Euro, AED and SR.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the inter-bank market, Pakistan Rupee gained 20 paisas for buying and 25 paisas for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 165.70 and 165.80 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR gained 5 paisas for buying while losing 5 paisas for selling over yesterday's rates closing at 165.85 and 166.20 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling closing at 192.50 and 194 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling closing at 45.05 and 45.20 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling as well closing at 43.95 and 44.10 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee appreciated its worth in the process of trading against the greenback and the British pound in the open currency market on Friday.
Amid lack of buyers' interest in the market, the greenback remained under selling pressure throughout the trading session and ended lower for buying and selling at Rs 165.70 and Rs 166.20 against the overnight closing rate of Rs 166.00 and Rs 166.80 respectively, local currency dealers said.
Similarly, the national currency also followed suit in relation to the pound sterling that was bought and sold at Rs 211.00 and Rs 213.00 against Thursday's closing trend of Rs 212.50 and Rs 214.00 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar remained firm against the rupee at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Friday.
The dollar opened at Rs 166.50 (buying) and Rs 166.60(selling) against same last rate.
It closed at Rs 166.50 (buying) and Rs 166.60 (selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 115,300(selling) and Rs 115,100 (buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
