PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema e Islam (JUI-F) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa strongly condemned the arrest of its workers and unnecessary actions against the party leadership through National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and warned that party would compel to give call of protest across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), if government didn’t stop revengeful actions immediately.

This was stated by JUI-F provincial general secretary, Mualana Attaullah Darwish during a meeting held here on Sunday. He strongly denounced the arrest of activists and workers elsewhere in the province and asked the government to stop actions against the party leadership and workers through NAB immediately, otherwise the party will stage protest demonstrations across the province.

JUI-F provincial information secretary, Abdul Jalil Jan, Maulana Ahmad Darwish and other local leaders and workers were present in the meeting.

The party leaders said after successful holding of All Parties Conference (APC), the rulers have started revengeful actions against JUI-F to save their sinking boat. Furthermore, they said the rulers are using NAB against political rivals to hide their misdeeds and divert attention from real issues of the general public.

The JUI-F activists said the NAB’s mysterious movements and action against the party central chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and after reaction of the workers, the arrest of the party activist Musa Khan exposed the ill intentions of the incumbent government against its political opponents.

They said the JUI-F activist Musa Khan was himself coming into NAB for submission of a questionnaire but he was arrested as an incomprehensible and unjustifiable move. But, they added the NAB was reluctant to take action against culprits of the corruption scam in the Billion Tree Tsunami Project and Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit Project.

The JUI-F leaders asked the government to stop revengeful actions against the party leadership and workers. Otherwise, they warned that the party would give a call of protest across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to send incumbent rulers to their home forever. They instructed the JUI-F divisional organisations to wait for orders of the party provincial leadership before taking any action.
