KARACHI: Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Syed Aminul Haq Monday said that in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan's Digital Pakistan vision, a number of measures are under way to provide broadband access to rural areas in Pakistan.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Daraz's new head offices in Karachi, Amin said the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication is fully supporting a digital Pakistan vision and with the support of private sector joint efforts will be geared towards ensuring that the facility of e-commerce is made available to small cities and towns, as well.
He also discussed the potential of digitization in Pakistan with Ehsan Saya, Managing Director, Daraz Pakistan and Imran Saleem, Director Commercial, Daraz Pakistan.
"We will continue to support all digital platforms such as Daraz so that the people of Pakistan can benefit from the ease offered by e-commerce and digitization," he added.
