LAHORE: Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that Railways will outsource 34 trains besides 12 trains which have already been privatized.

Addressing a press conference here at Railways Headquarters, he said that we intend to make Pakistan Railway financially healthy with the support of private sector.

He asked 30 questions to the PML-N and the Pakistan Democratic Movement. He claimed that the PML-N leadership was afraid of expected PTI’s majority in the coming senate elections.

He said Nawaz Sharif does not have trust in any other leader of his party, so he wanted to keep party leadership in his own hands or within his own family. He would not let Shahid Khaqan Abbasi or Khawaja Asif lead the party. He questioned as to why Nawaz in his letter appreciated the services of Gen Zahirul Islam (retd) four years ago if he asked him (Nawaz) to resign as prime minister.

He insisted that the PML-N would soon split and political upheaval was expected in December or January. The minister said the PML-N leaders were now talking against judiciary as they wanted the judges like Abdul Qayum, Naseem Hassan Shah and Rafique Tarar.

He alleged that Nawaz deceived former Prime Minister Muhammad Khan Junejo and conspired in toppling his government but now him (Nawaz) was screaming when the same was happened to him.

Rashid said Maryam Safdar was enjoying some facilities being a woman but these concessions would be terminated finally. He asked her to inform the people about reason behind the arrest of his uncle Shahbaz Sharif and cancellation of his bail. He questioned Maryam why her father did not go to hospital in London and what were the names of those employees who made transactions of Rs 9 billion to her uncle’s account.

“Isn’t it ridiculous that Nawaz was working in the UAE while he was prime minister of Pakistan?” the minister questioned. He said no one would have talked about any movement had Prime Minister Imran Khan accepted 34 amendments in NAB laws.

He said this was the same army which had called Nawaz from Dorchester Hotel and made him minister of excise and taxation at that time but now he (Nawaz) was giving statements against the army. He said the person who talked against army which fought against terrorism, locusts, coronavirus, floods, polio, and for Neelum Jehlum, ML-1 and CPEC projects would not be spared.

“The nation understands why this leader met Modi. Why he used to call Indian prime minister from outside the country? Why he established business with the support of Jandal and why he told address of Ajmal Qassab?” He said anti-CPEC elements and enemies of China had launched Nawaz to destabilize the system so that the CPEC project could be damaged.

He said Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman declared the assemblies as ‘Haram’ notwithstanding he contested the election of president from the same assembly.
