Gilgit-Baltistan elections: PTI announces nominations of candidates for 24 seats
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday announced nominations of its candidates for 24 seats for the Gilgit-Baltistan elections to be held on November 15. Arshad Dad, the president of PTI's parliamentary board announced the names of the following candidates who will contest elections on PTI tickets from the 24 seats.
Johar Ali, GBLA-l (Gilgit-l), Fateh Ullah Khan, GBLA-2 (Gilgit 2), Syed Jaffar Shah, GBLA-3 (Gilgit 3), Zulfikar Ali GBLA-4 (Nagar-1), GBLA-5 (Nagar-2) Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) Rizwan Ali, GBLA-6 (Hunza-1) Col Ubaidullah Baig (retd), GBLA-7 (Skardu-1) Raja Muhammad Zakaria Khan, GBLA-8 (Skardu-2) Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) (Muhamamd Kazim), GBLA-9 (Skardu-3) Fida Nashad, GBLA-10 (Skardu-4) Wazir Hassan, GBLA-11 Kharmang Syed Amjad Ali, GBLA-12 Shigar Raja Muhammad Azam Khan, GBLA-13 Astore-1) Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan, GBLA-14 Astore-2 Shamsul Haq Lone, GBLA-15 (Diamer-1) Naushad Alam, GBLA-16 (Diamer-2) Ateequllah, GBLA-17 Diamer-3 Haider Khan, GBLA-18 (Diamer-4) Haji Gulbar Khan, GBLA-19 (Ghizer-1) Zafar Muhammad, GBLA-20 (Ghizer-2) Nazir Ahmed, GBLA-21 (Ghizer-3) Raja Jahanzeb, GBLA-22 (Ghanche-1 Muhammad Ibrahim Sanai, GBLA-23) (Ghanche-2) Amina Ansari and Syed Shamsuddin GBLA-24 (Ghanche-3).
Dad said that the coalition between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) has been announced. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has granted two tickets to MWM in GBLA-5 (Nagar 2) and GBLA-8 (Skardu-2) from where Rizwan Ali and Muhammad Kazim will jump into the fray.
"Our best wishes are with the candidates who are going to participate in G-B elections and we are optimistic that people will cost their votes to PTI and its coalition partners to further strengthen the ideology of Prime Minister Imran Khan," he added.
