MOL Pakistan recently arranged a one-day free medical camp at Walai Banda of District Kohat in TAL Block.
In line with its policy of supporting District Government in provision of health care facilities and awareness to underprivileged communities especially in inaccessible and remote areas of operations of MOL Pakistan, the Community Development Department of the Company organised this event in collaboration with Executive District Officer (Health) and District Administration Kohat.
The camp received massive response from the local community and was highly appreciated by the local elders. Before commencement of the activity, base line information has been gathered by the Health Department regarding prevailing diseases. Local community has already been informed of the holding of free medical camp through banners and loud speakers for the last few days. Medical team comprising of two (2) specialist doctors (one male and one female) along with seven (7) paramedic staff provided free check up to the patients along with free medicine.
During the one-day activity, total of 679 patients including 480 women were examined. The female doctor especially arranged for the activity examined the female patients. Some serious patients including seven women were referred to District Headquarters Hospital for advance investigations. MOL Pakistan has already organised several of such free camps at TAL Block consisting of Districts of Kohat, Hangu and Karak in which more than 5,000 patients have been treated.
