KARACHI: The Consul General of Thailand Thatree Chauvachata called on Administrator Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shallwani on Tuesday here and discussed matters of mutual interest.
The CG also offered his country’s support in transport, agriculture and other sectors.
Thai CG said Karachi is a very beautiful city and they consider Pakistan as their second home. Thailand would be hosting Pakistani youths for short courses to teach them modern ways for preserving vegetables and fruits.
The CG assured full support for public transport in Karachi and announced to donate books for libraries in Karachi.
Shallwani expressed gratitude to the Consul General and said Thailand is one of the most developing countries and it attracted the entire world by making its tourism places beautiful. Islands of Thailand are very beautiful. “It is an example for us the way Thailand developed owing to timely efforts and huge investment on education and research” he added.
The Administrator said infrastructure, transport system and cleanliness of Thailand are exemplary. Karachi is a economical hub of Pakistan, having industrial zones and head office of multi national companies.
He hoped that Pakistan and Thailand would start on joint projects soon to provide better facilities to the people.
The administrator also presented a shield to Thai Consul General.
