KARACHI: On Monday, upon market closing, Pakistan Rupee gained value against USD in interbank market. In open market, it exhibited mixed movement. It gained value against USD for buying while losing value for selling. It also lost value against Euro in open market.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee gained 5 paisas for buying and 15 paisas for selling against USD over last Friday's rates closing at 163.75 and 163.85 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR gained 10 paisas for buying and lost 10 paisas for selling over last Friday's rates closing at 163.80 and 164.20 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR lost 50 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 192 and 193.50 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR gained 5 paisas for buying while remaining unchanged for selling closing at 44.40 and 44.60 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR remained unchanged for buying while gaining 5 paisas for selling closing at 43.30 and 43.45 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee stayed unchanged on the buying side while it appreciated its worth on the selling side in relation to the greenback in the local currency market on Monday.
According to currency dealers, the greenback did not witness any change in its demand as it firmly closed for buying at Rs 163.50 whereas it lost 10 paisas for selling and ended at Rs 164.70 against the previous closing rate of Rs 164.80.
Moreover, the local currency commenced trading on a negative note and kept on declining throughout the trading session. As a result, the pound's buying and selling rates rose from the last weekend's closing trend of Rs 211.20 and Rs 213.00 to Rs 211.50 and Rs 213.20 respectively, they added.
