KARACHI: The ban on TikTok in Pakistan was challenged at the Sindh High Court (SHC) here on Tuesday. The petitioner, Munib Ahmed, who approached the Sindh High Court challenging the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority's October 9 decision of placing a ban on the short video-sharing Chinese app, TikTok, stated in his petition that more than 20 million people use this application.
The government's move to block the app because of a few people misusing it is uncalled for, he argued. The petitioner pleaded with the high court to declare the ban unlawful. The court admitted the petition for hearing.
