ISLAMABAD: Temporary ban on TikTok, by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has been challenged in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Chief Justice Athar Minallah will hear the case on Thursday (today). Muhammad Ashfaq Jutt, a Lahore-based sportsman and celebrated athlete, filed a writ petition in the IHC through Advocate Usama Khawar, and cited the Federation through the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and the PTA as respondents. The petitioner has been associated with mixed martial arts for the past 26 years, and runs a private training club. He has been using TikTok as a platform to promote his skills and club, which naturally promotes his business and provides opportunity to earn a living.
