Rupee gains 62 paisas against dollar
- In interbank trading, the price of euro depreciated by Rs. 1.20 and closed at Rs. 190.90 against the last day’s trading of Rs. 192.10, State Bank of Pakistan reported.
ISLAMABAD: The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee strengthened by 62 paisas against US dollar in the interbank trading on Thursday and closed at Rs. 162.86 against the previous day's closing of Rs. 163.48.
Meanwhile, according to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs. 163 and Rs. 163.5 respectively.
In interbank trading, the price of euro depreciated by Rs. 1.20 and closed at Rs. 190.90 against the last day’s trading of Rs. 192.10, State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen lost one paisa to close at Rs. 1.54, whereas an increase of Rs. 0.38 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs. 211.41 as compared to its last closing of Rs. 211.03.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 17 paisas to close at Rs. 44.33 and Rs. 43.41 respectively.
