ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) for Youth Affairs Usman Dar on Friday said preparations were underway for Tiger Force convention on Saturday. While talking to the media, he told that Prime Minister Imran Khan would give future course of action to the Tiger Force, and decide the roadmap of new responsibilities for them at the ceremony.
He said the Tiger Force would help in filling the gap of human resource in administration. Usman Dar said the prime minister had always focused on the development of the youth.
He said PM had directed to ensure strict implementation of the SOPs to avert the threat of Covid-19 spread. He said anti-Covid guidelines had already been issued for the convention, and volunteers were asked to wear face masks and gloves, and observe physical distancing during the function.
The volunteers have also been informed to bring their identification cards along with them. Responding to the opposition's critics, he said the opposition was targeting the volunteers, who exhibited great responsibility and performed various tasks without any greed and monetary gains during hard times.
Praising the purpose, he said Tiger Force was an ideology as its members came forward with national spirit and sense of duty. He said the government had developed a portal to facilitate the Tiger Force volunteers, enabling them to report the hoarding, artificial price hike and non-display of the official rate lists in markets of their respective union councils through geo-tagging technology.
He said the government had already tested and tried the portal -http://tigerforce.gov.pk - that would be launched tomorrow. And, the volunteers have started registering themselves on the website, he added.
